There are some wedding venues you admire from afar for some time, secretly hoping that one day a couple will book you to photograph their wedding there. For me, Omahanui Venue was one of those places.

Tucked away near Tauranga, it's one of those hidden gems that instantly captures your heart. The beautifully maintained grounds, towering bamboo, native silver ferns, and the elegant marquee lit up as the sun goes down create such a magical atmosphere. The spacious lawns are perfect for guests to relax after the ceremony, enjoy a cocktail, and play a few lawn games before the celebrations continue.

I'm so grateful to Carl and Katie for trusting me to capture their wedding and for giving me the opportunity to finally photograph a wedding at this incredible venue.

This was a 5-hour coverage, and honestly, it flew by. I could have happily stayed for hours longer exploring everything Omahanui has to offer. Hopefully, one day another couple will book me for a full day wedding here so we can make the most of every beautiful corner of this amazing venue:).
